GENERAL
49. (1) The
Commission may appoint such number of investigating officers as it considers
necessary to exercise the powers under the communications and multimedia
laws.
(2) An investigating officer shall have all the powers necessary
to carry out an inspection, and investigation of any offence, under the
communications and multimedia laws.
50. The Chairman, members of
the Commission and of any committee, and employees and agents of the
Commission, while discharging their duties under this Act as the Chairman,
such members, employees or agents, shall be deemed to the public servants
within the meaning of the Penal Code.
51. The Public Authorities
Protection Act 1948 shall apply to any action, suit, prosecution or
proceedings against the Commission or against the Chairman, any member of
the Commission, any member of a committee, and employees or agents of the
Commission in respect of any act, neglect or default done or committed by
him in good faith, in such capacity.
52. (1) Except
for any of the purpose of this Act or for the purpose of any civil or
criminal proceedings under any written law or where otherwise authorized by
